This two tier entrance is set into the slope of the earth. Concrete retaining walls replace the original decaying timber walls. The entrance is constructed to accommodate plant material on each tier. The plant material, cedar mulch, and accent boulders soften and add a natural element to the front of this home. Ninety degree angles are used largely throughout the design, they are offset by a few flowing curves in the edging lines, and a curved portion of retaining wall that opens the entrance and welcomes you.
