The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Sales Manager is to be the point of contact for key accounts while overseeing and developing the account management team.

Account Manager Position Responsibilities: – 30% 

  • Retain and sell key lawn and landscape maintenance contracts.  

  • Upsell plant health care, arbor, enhancement, snow removal, and other services. 

  • Ensure client and company quality-of-work standards are being met. 

  • Develop positive relationships with key clients, establishing clear, frequent, effective, professional, and timely communication 

  • Develop mutual trust with clients by demonstrating the ability to exceed expectations. 

  • Prepare and present proposals in a timely and professional manner, according to company standards.  

  • Track all proposals in progress, and pursue and follow up to closure. 

  • Participate in various events, organizations, and industry associations to build relationships. 

  • Develop community ties to enhance the Weller Brothers brand. 

  • Assist the Branch Manager with monitoring the operations team and provide suggestions for improvements.

  • Provide Operations Managers information regarding job prioritization and assist with scheduling  

  • Execute site audits, and present maintenance service and landscape enhancement opportunities to the clients. 

  • Act as liaison between client and operations teams  

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with operations team members. 

  • Report time and productivity daily using LMN.  

  • Track expenses according to company policy. 

  • Work the hours necessary to ensure the jobs are being completed on time, including weekends and holidays, if necessary. ? Maintain a clean and professionally appearing company vehicle. 

  • Manage the sales process from prospecting through sale and transition accounts/projects to appropriate account management and/or operations  team 

  • Create vertical market development plans; make recommendations regarding actions, including cooperative selling efforts. ? Make decisions that are in the best interest of the company. 

  • Other duties as needed to help drive and fulfill the Weller Brothers Mission. (snow removal).

Personnel Management Responsibilities: – 70% 

  • Assist with hiring and training processes for new Account Managers 
  • Assists with developing recruiting and hiring plans that align with company growth strategy. 
  • Motivate, train and empower team members to become successful Account Managers. 
  • Oversee performance management of the Rochester Account Managers, including addressing client service issues, and assigning/directing workload. 
  • Coach Account Managers through difficult conversations with clients 
  • Hold team accountable for following Weller Brothers policies and work-flow processes 
  • Assists with setting team and individual sales goals aligned with overall branch and company growth strategy. 
  • Consistently tracks actual vs budgeted sales goals for Rochester Account Managers.
  • Conduct regular 1 on 1 meetings with the Head of Account Management. 
  • Ensure all client accounts are being managed to Weller Brothers’ standards. 
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing data related to sales and retention to present to Senior Leadership. 
  • Make decisions that are in the best interest of the company.

Details about this Career

The primary responsibility of the Landscape Foreman is to oversee designated landscape projects. Coordinate and manage team members along with their schedules. This position will perform a variety of outdoor landscape project installations that improve the functional and/or aesthetic value of the property.  Many of the projects include softscape and hardscape installation, including pavers, retaining walls, and outdoor kitchens. All Weller Brothers team members are expected to provide excellent client service by assisting clients promptly and courteously, answer questions and provide information as needed. A landscape foreman will perform and ensure all team members are executing all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and competency satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job. 

  • Place orders for materials needed for projects. Make sure material deliveries are set to arrive as they are needed on the jobsite.  For any special order materials, make sure that you have scheduled delivery on a timeline that allows the crew to continue a consistent pace of work.
  • Contact and line up subcontractors for projects. Ensure subcontractors are scheduled to start and finish their portion of the work in sequence with what Weller Brothers is doing on that jobsite to maximize efficiency.  
  • Take time to review all plans with team members making sure they are aware of what their assignments are if you are going to be absent from a jobsite.  
  • Set daily and weekly goals for all team members on the jobsite.
  • Oversee a crew of 2-3 team members, making sure they are on track and being productive. 
  • Responsible for maintaining clean job sites.  Record End-of-Day Checklist each day.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic to complete a variety of physical job tasks.
  • Professionally communicate with clients to achieve strong client/company relationships.
  • Operate a variety of outdoor landscape and power equipment, as well as a variety of hand tools.
  • Commit the hours necessary to make sure the job is done to satisfaction; this may include weekends and/or holidays
  • Maintain a clean appearance and conform to the Weller Brothers dress code.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and installation practices.
  • Assist in maintaining all company equipment.
  • Follow all policies as specified in the Team Member Handbook.
  • Make decisions that are in the best interest of the company.

The primary responsibility of the maintenance foreman is to maintain the lawn health and maintenance of our clients through services including but not limited to mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilization.This position will perform a variety of tasks in relation to lawn health that improve the functional and/or aesthetic value of the property.
