Sioux Falls Aborists Discuss Ash Tree Danger on Keloland Living

Ryan Myott, ISA-certified arborist, and Kyle Blake, Tree Sales, joined Keloland Living to urge you to protect your family and property before winter arrives.

We follow all ANSI Standards for tree health, pruning, and removal, which means our professionals can remove trees of any size and correctly prune trees according to their biology and health needs. Contact us today for. your safe ash tree removal.

Ryan Benda Shares Fall Lawn Care Safety Reminders on Dakota News Now

Safety is one of our Roots at Weller Brothers, and Senior Account Manager Ryan Benda talked with Dakota News Now in Sioux Falls about fall lawn care safety and other valuable reminders.

In this safety feature, Ryan and other lawn and tree professionals share:

  • How to be safe when pruning your tree branches, including using a secure ladder.
  • Why your trees, plants, and shrubs need extra watering ahead of the dry winter ahead.
  • The benefits to your lawn of mulching fallen leaves, vs. taking them to the local landfill.

As a reminder, it’s important to schedule your irrigation winterization before the freezing temperatures arrive. Also, fall and winter are the best times to prune or remove trees – especially those infected by Emerald Ash Borer.

Celebrating Jill's Contributions to Weller Brothers

Jill began at Weller Brothers as Controller and then became CFO. Her primary focus was in finance, but her fingerprints are on almost all workflow processes, from admin to operations. The infrastructure she built as CFO provided Weller Brothers data to make better decisions and ultimately grow revenue nearly 10x since she started in 2017.

Beyond her financial expertise, Jill is a true champion of company culture. She fosters a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging open communication and collaboration among team members. Her genuine care for the well-being of her colleagues is evident in her willingness to go the extra mile, whether it’s offering advice or simply lending an ear.

Jill’s commitment to empowering women in a male-dominated industry is equally inspiring. She has actively worked to create opportunities for female leaders within Weller Brothers, establishing the “Women of Weller” group to foster connections, support, and professional development. Her efforts have contributed to a significant increase in the number of women in leadership roles at the company.

Jill’s achievements are a testament to her exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication. We are honored to have her on our team and congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.

This is also a good time to get ahead of EAB-infested trees by removing them before they become dangerous.

"We had a moment, right before the Fourth of July, when we were relaxing and all five kids were in the pool playing and throwing each other around. And it was really kind of an emotional moment; we knew it was worth it. This is it. This is why we did it."
